Mardis Gras World in New Orleans welcomed agents and suppliers to Travursity Travel Showcase last Wednesday night and a lively event was enjoyed by all in attendance.
Not only did the New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau provide the agents with a presentation about working with the CVB, Thu Tran offered all the agents in attendance a chance to receive a Travel Agent city pass with valuable deals for the agents’ personal use. Johnny Cefalu and Donald Allee from the Port of NOLA welcomed everyone and provided fun umbrellas for all to take home. The port is growing and agents can really start to offer their clients many cruise options.
Julie Stephan and Melissa O’Hara from Sandals provided an update on their properties and destinations while Hagar Sides provided insight on Israel. Bedsonline continues to impress the agents and Theresa McLarney and Amanda Spencer Hill informed the agents of the benefits of working with their hotel booking engine.
Many agents arrived early for a special tour of the floats and props used in many of the Mardi Gras and other holiday parades that take place in the city of New Orleans. The artists’ works were on
display for all to see and capture. This was a true highlight of the evening’s event…except for the Cajun dinner of some of these regions culinary dishes that have become synonymous with New Orleans.
